Mai ran toward the sound as she heard it.
"Mai!" Bou-san cried, "Slow down!"
Mai stopped when she saw a man lying on the ground.
She saw a white wolf-like creature with black bat-like wings on its back.
The wolf turned and faced her.
The others appeared behind her.
"What is that?" Ayako asked.
"I don't know," John replied.
"Stay back," Naru ordered before they could take a step forward.
Masako shook in fear.
"Lin, what is that thing?" Bou-san asked.
"I can't tell you," Lin replied.
"What's wrong Masako?" Yasuhara asked.
"It's a demon," Masako shook in fear as she spoke.
The wolf had red eyes like blood.
It let out a powerful roar.
The wind blew cutting at their skin.
Mai screamed covering her face from the wind.
She heard another roar but it sounded almost angelic.
She looked up and saw a black wolf with light blue eyes with angelic wings on its back.
It called to the demonic wolf.
The white wolf flapped its wings and flew off into the air.
The two wolves flew off leaving the SPR gang there.
"What was that?" Bou-san asked.
"Who knows," said Ayako.
"Someone go check to see if that man is okay," Naru ordered.
Ayako went to check the man.
"He's dead," she replied.
"The demon ate his soul," Masako added, "I heard its cries earlier."
"Well, not much we can do now," said Bou-san.
"Let's return to the office," said Naru.
They turned and walked away.
Mai stopped and turned around to where she heard a roar.
"What's wrong?" Bou-san asked turning around to face her.
"Nothing," she replied running ahead.
Bou-san struggled it off and walked off.
