The evil smirk on Light's face confirmed L's suspicions of Light being Kira. 'He won,' she thought. She decided to tell Light something before her untimely death.

"I love you…Kira…" L then kissed her lover, Yagami Light, who also happens to be her mortal enemy, on the lips before she died of a heart attack.

L's funeral took place later that evening. She lay in a glass coffin, ready to be place in a freezing cold room where it will be her final resting place.

The cops who are involved in the Kira investigation mourned and are left devastated. Who can replace L now? But that question doesn't matter now, for now, they need to mourn for L's death.

The cops were allowed to go back home early, but for Yagami Light, he told his father that he wants to mourn privately. When the last person left, he felt the tears beginning to fall freely from his cheeks.

"Oh God, don't tell me you are mourning over your enemy?" Ryuk then did a mocking laugh. "Just shut up Ryuk," Light then threw a apple towards Ryuk which he chomped happily.

Light then approached the glass coffin; a little song escaped his lips…

There she was, Lawliet or L, as she's better well known. She still looked beautiful in Light's eyes, as Light continued to sing his heart's content.

He then let his fingers ran towards L's long silken raven hair, and then trailed down towards her cold cheek, still as smooth when he last caress her skin.

He did not expect that the great L was a woman at his age, and slowly falling for her, mixing up his ambitions with his feelings. In the end, when Higuchi was killed and he got back his memories, his selfish ambitions took over. 'It was my entire fault…' Light thought, as a tear dropped from his eyes and fell towards L's hand. He seduced L to bed without thinking, resulting a confused and hurt L. 'I didn't mean for it to happen...' he continued thinking.
