Another Thomas rewrite, this time it's "Little Old Twins" from the Railway Series book "The Little Old Engine" Enjoy and comment.

One day, Mr Percival brought some people to look at the railway. He showed them everything.

They traveled in trains, and looked at the stations and bridges, plus the coaches.

Each time they saw something interesting, they would say "yes" and jotted down notes.

Peter Sam went to see Sir Handel.

"Remember what happened on our old railway?" he said nervously.

"What?"replied Sir Handel.

"The men came and the railway ended up being sold."

The other engines were worried too.

"We don't want to be sold!" they told Mr Percival.

"Sold? What nonsense!" said Mr Percival.

"They also took things from our railway!" added in Sir Handel

"You are all silly little engines! Those people aren't here to buy us, they're here to film us for a television broadcast on the BBC."

The engines blew their whistles with delight, except Sir Handel.

"Why would they film us for television?" asked Sir Handel. "I don't want to be on television!"

"You will be on television, whatever you like it or not!" boomed Mr Percival.

"I'm not being on television!" protested Sir Handel.

"In that case, I'm locking you in your shed until the television crew leaves."

"What can I do?" asked Peter Sam.

"You are to take the BBC television crew around the railway."

"Thank you sir!" exclaimed Peter Sam.

A few days later, the BBC television crew arrived from the mainland.

Cameras were placed on freight cars, inside the trains, and beside the lines.

Their first stop, was in the sheds.

Sir Handel was crosser than ever when he saw the television crew.

"Go away, shoo!" he said crossly. "I'm not going on television, whatsoever!"

"What an interesting engine!" said one of the reporters.

All Sir Handel did was look crossly at the reporter.

Sir Handel felt better when the television crew left.

Next, they stopped to see Duncan.

Duncan was excited to be on television.

After a brief interview, they kept on going towards Rusty.

Rusty, his driver and fireman told the BBC reporter about their work on the railway.

Soon, it was time to go.

Rusty tooted, and they set off towards the main station.

When they arrived at the station, Mr Percival was interviewed.

"I want everyone to know that my engines are the finest around." he said. "I am proud of all my engines, and make sure they are really useful!"

Skarloey was there too. He had a big surprise to announce,

"A few weeks ago, when I was mended, I discovered that I have a twin!"

Everyone was surprised, including Mr Percival.

"Is this true?" asked Mr Percival.

"Yes indeed." continued Skarloey. "His name is Talyllyn."

"Well." said the BBC reporter. "I declare this railway to be the finest railway of all!"

Everyone clapped and cheered, and the engines tooted.

Skarloey couldn't have felt happier!
