Romeo and Juliet made a very scary wager which neither would favor
he said he would be there by the time of three and she would await him over by the sea.
It turned dark and cold but she stood bold and waited
he arrived belated with a shiver and chatter she hugged him hard and they started their banter
but time was wasting her love erasing for it was just a dream she exclaimed with a scream
her Romeo has yet to return and all the more she begins to yearn his touch ever so much
she looked out into the woods searching for her love and seeing only a single dove its flight so careless
and free how she hoped her and her Romeo would be
that is if he was ever to return as the burn of her tears flowed down to a cheek, it felt as if she had been there at least a week
her eyes getting tired waiting for her desire she longed to see him on his horse wearing that smile she cherished the most
She finally became restless and ran through the woods till she was breathless,
looking for her knight she searched with all her might through the grasses and up the trees then collapsed upon her knees.
'where is my Romeo the one I love so, I need him more then ever for he is my one true treasure'
she repeats over and over hoping some answer will come and then she hears a sound, not knowing where it came from
a lady she sees, walking her way and she knows not what to say, for this lady is not her darling but she seems so much more charming
she helps her to her feet and put herself on one knee.
' my fair Juliet I come baring news, your Romeo shall never come, for he says you are not the one, he has another and tomorrow they marry'
she begins to cry suddenly feeling the need to die, could this be true could, he be with another?
The though alone made her shutter
'do not cry my dear for I am here, there's no need to feel sad over this mad man,
I will show you love and teach you my ways, be with me now oh love what do you say?
she looks at her, pondering the outcome, what if this fair lady leaves too?, then what will she do?
no she mustn't deny a chance to love again, she shall take her hand for ever more,
the lady stands and kisses her hand making her she feels as though she is no longer on land,
how could she be so blind to think that Romeo, was the only way to go.
