Sparring Match

Hunter looked across the dojo that belonged to Brandie. Her dwelling was small yet nice. She lived in the foothills of the mountains near the Wind Ninja academy. Her home was a Japanese style home in California. He had to smile when he saw it. It looked like it had been taken from Japan and placed in the mountain's shadow. The gardens were beautiful.
He remembered walking inside like she had told him too. He had found her clipping leaves of her shrubs. She was so intent on her work that he knew his entrance had gone unnoticed by her.
So he had watched her as she trimmed to her plants and explained to each plant why she was trimming it. Hunter was amused by all this for it reminded him of Cameron talking to his computer then again Cyber Cam talked back as well.
He laughed and his laughter drew attention to him. He remembered her smile at him.
Now he faced her across the mats. He was feeling weary for he knew she was a good fighter. They had been sparing for a while now. His brother had been teasing him about her lately. He been denying the attraction he been feeling not wanting to get involved with anyone.
His mind quickly counted how long he known her. It had been about a month since the first time they meet. He smiled at the memory and was oddly grateful for the lazy kinsmen that day. Or else he never would have met her at all.
Hunter looked at her as they circled each other. Both of them feeling the other out it always started out like this, circling each other and trying to decide who was striking first.
Hunter realized he made a tactical error in his move when Brandie suddenly moved to attack. They began exchanging blows quickly in a mad dance of martial arts skill. He still could not get over how skilled and fast she was. She was not very strong but she made up for it in agility and speed. He always enjoyed the matches. As they danced trading blows he was not afraid to go all out with her like he go all out with Blake.
They soon backed off from each other and smiled as they bowed.
"That was fun." Brandie exclaimed much like she always did. "Order in? After sparring like that I really don't have the energy to cook."
Hunter nodded. "Yea, how about pizza?"
"Sounds good." Brandie laughed fully. "Order the pizza then we both hit the showers. I know we stink."
Hunter had to agree with her so Brandie showed him where to shower and he told her what he liked on his pizzas and she disappeared off to order the foods and he took a quick shower and mentally yelled at himself for wishing for certain things.
He walked out into her front room and noted that her hair was wet too. She flashed him a smile. He nodded and they waited for the pizza to arrive in silence neither feeling the need to fill the silence with chatter at least for the moment.
