This is a straight pairing this time!

Angela de Chagny knew she was dying. The liquid filling her lungs from the consumption had finally grown too much. She could barely breathe anymore her breaths coming out in short gasps.

All around her, her family wept too sad to even look at her. Except for her son Raoul who lay by her side looking at her with his golden eyes filled with tears and his soft full lips trembling. Angela's eyes filled with tears just looking at him.

Using all the strength she still had left to muster she reached up and wiped away his tears. "Oh my son," She said, "please don't cry."

"But mother," Raoul said new tears already glistening in his eyes, "you're dying!" He dove into her arms hugging her tightly. "I don't want you to go mother!" He cried into her shoulder. "I don't want you to die!"

Angela put her arms around him doing her best to soothe him. "Don't worry my love," She said, "you will not be left alone when I go for I will send an angel of music to you."

Raoul pulled back from her shoulder and looked at her with his eyes now full of surprise instead of tears.

"An angel of music?" He said. A soft smile played across Angela's lips as she nodded.

"Yes," She said. "An angel of music…"

And these were her last words before she died leaving her only son in the capable hands of Madame Giry the ballet instructor at the Paris opera house the Opera Popularie.

It was at this opera house that Raoul's angel of music came to him when he went down to light a candle for his mother. And his dreams that voice was always there singing him the sweetest of lullabies.

It was this mysterious voice that nurtured Raoul's voice until it reached an unmatched perfection.

And for the whole time Raoul was sure that it was his angel of music who was teaching him.

Little did he know however that his angel was really a ghost. An opera ghost to be exact.
