Takes place during AotC
The chime interrupted his evening meditation, and Anakin grumbled as he palmed the door open. "Yes?"
"Hello. You must be Anakin."
Anakin's jaw dropped at the sight of the tall, beautiful, curvy, scantily-clad, radiant woman leaning provocatively against the door frame. She blinked her sapphire eyes and smiled at him with full, pink lips, shaking her long blonde hair out of her face. Her presence in the Force was strong, and she was obviously a Jedi. But she was certainly the most beautiful Jedi he had ever seen, and one he'd never met before.
"Erm…yes?" he replied, trying to tear his eyes from the sight before him.
"Padawan, who is...?" After a few long moments of silence, Anakin turned to see his master behind, mouth agape.
"Hello, Obi-Wan," she purred.
The sound of her voice made Anakin's entire body tingle, which came as quite a shock since he'd convinced himself that he only had eyes for Padme. Another quick glance behind him confirmed that Obi-Wan was struggling with the same issue.
"Padawan, this... is Callista Jinn, Qui-Gon's daughter," Obi-Wan said at last.
Anakin's face crinkled. "I didn't know Qui-Gon had a daughter."
"Yes, and Obi-Wan and I became fast friends as younglings," Callista said as she stepped into their quarters. "I was chosen as an apprentice when I was only eight, so we didn't see each other often. I was knighted when I was sixteen - the youngest ever for a human."
"She was an exceptional student," Obi-Wan muttered, eyes still glued to Callista's femine curves. "Perfect in every way."
Anakin crossed his arms over his chest. "Funny that you've never mentioned her before."
"That's because Yoda made him swear to secrecy," Callista continued. "You see, I've been working undercover these last ten years, and I've infiltrated the Sith."
"The Sith? You're kidding," Anakin snorted.
"I'm afraid she isn't, Padawan," Obi-Wan sighed, stroking Callista's silky cheek with one finger. "It was a top secret mission, and I couldn't tell you about it. Yoda has kept me informed of her whereabouts these many years."
Callista turned to Obi-Wan, her azure eyes sparkling. "And I've learned some news I must tell you, Obi. You must not go on the mission to Geonosis you've just been assigned. There is grave danger for you there. I..." She paused to look away, impossibly long eyelashes blinking away a single tear. It carved a sleek path down her glossy cheek. "I have volunteered to go in your place. I will face the Sith who awaits you."
"No!" Obi-Wan cried, pulling Callista into his arms. "You can't go! I won't permit it, Callie."
Anakin cleared his throat, annoyed. "Callie?" he grumbled, rolling his eyes.
Callista turned her glowing face up to look at Obi-Wan. "I will go, Obi. Your destiny is here, with..." She paused and cast her shining blue eyes at Anakin. "With him. He needs you now, more than you know. Your place is at his side."
Callista took Anakin's hand in her small, dainty, well-manicured one, then grabbed Obi-Wan's large, rough, calloused palm, gently entwining her fingers around the two men's. She smiled, sadly, before placing a gentle kiss on her old friend's cheek.
"Goodbye, Obi-Wan. I've always loved you." She turned to Anakin, smiling tearfully, and cupped his cheek in her palm. "Take good care of him, Ani. For both of us."
Anakin blinked at her, a very confused expression on his face.
Obi-Wan choked back a sob as Callista swept through the door, leaving a brilliant Force-current in her wake.
Anakin flinched, and then groaned out loud. "Listen, Master - we need to have a talk..."
