This is my newest story and it is just a very short one shot. I wanted a break from the others and this one came into my head. I hope you like it.

"Daddy, I can't do dis." Carly Orton said to her dad while holding up her shoe. She had been trying to learn how for a few days and she was getting frustrated.

"Did you use the song mommy taught you?" Randy Orton asked his blond four year old daughter. They both were sitting on the floor.

"I don't member it." She pouted in the way that reminded him of Hailey, his wife, who always pouted when she didn't' get her way.

"Okay." He laughed. "Come here and we will try it together."

Carly walked over and got into her dad's lap. Randy took one of the shoes and started to say the rhyme Hailey had taught them while doing the motions.

"Bunny ears, bunny ears, playing by a tree."

He held one lace in each hand and crossed them to form an 'X'. Then he held both in one hand and used his free hand to bring one lace under the other and pulled tightly on both which formed the tree. He took each lace and formed a large loop holding one in each hand to form the bunny ears.

"Criss-crossed the tree." He said while making an 'X' with the ears. "Trying to catch me." He continued.

"Bunny ears, bunny ears jumped into the hole." He said pushing one of the bunny ears into the hole that was at the bottom of the center of the laces where they were crossed.

"Popped out of the other side beautiful and bold." He said grabbing the loop as it was coming through the hole. He pulled on both bunny ears tightly tying the shoe. "That's how you do it. Now, you try."

Randy handed Carly the other shoe and watched as she tried. He laughed because no matter how hard she tried, she just wasn't getting it. She was twisting the laces in everyway but the right one and she wasn't exactly remembering the song.

"Daddy, can you sing the bunny song again?"

"Yes. Okay, you try with that shoe and I will do this while I do the song, okay?"

"Okay." She said taking the shoe.

"Bunny ears, bunny ears, playing by a tree. Criss-crossed the tree, trying to catch me. Bunny ears, bunny ears, jumped into the hole, popped out the other side beautiful and bold."

He watched as she finally got it.

"Daddy, I did it." Carly said jumping up and down then hugging her dad.

"Yes, you did baby." He said just as Hailey walked in. She had been out with her sister.

"Mommy, I did it." Carly said getting down and running up to her mom. "Daddy helped me member the bunny song."

"That's great angel." Hailey replied. "Why don't you go wash up and we will make some brownies?"

"K." Carly said running upstairs.

Randy watched Carly go upstairs before turning to kiss his wife hello.

"So, I see you taught her to tie her shoes." Hailey said to him.

"I did. She tried for a while and finally got it. And now you're going to make brownies?"

"No, we are going to make brownies with our daughter."

"Really? You're going to let me help."

"Yes. So, why don't you get the supplies and I will help Carly and we will meet you in the kitchen?"

"Sounds good." He said kissing her before she headed upstairs

He smiled as he watched her go upstairs. He never imagined he would like being a dad and husband so much. They were his world and he couldn't imagine life without them.
