Chapter 1

"Ginny!" I whispered loudly, shaking her friend's sister's arm, trying to wake her up. "Ginny!"

"Huh? Hermione? What's going on?" Ginny said sleepily from under her scarlet quilt.

"Ginny, you slept in! I woke up normal time, went and had breakfast and then I realized I'd forgot my Potions text, when I came up, I noticed you were still sleeping. Hurry up and get dressed! Your Divination class starts in five minutes!" I said frantically.

"Five minutes?!" Ginny yelled. "Divination class is on the fourth floor, I can't make it!"

"Well, you'd better hurry, your minutes are going by the second!" I said as I left the room.

I hurried down to Potions class in the dungeons. To my surprise, Harry and Ron were already there, being as they were ALWAYS late. I never knew why, but it didn't really matter to me.

I sat in the desk opposite of Harry, pulled out my Potions text book, and started to read.

"Hermione," Harry said. "You don't have to start reading that, Snape isn't even here yet."

"It never hurts to start a bit early, you know," I said quietly, concentrating on my book.

"Yeah, you don't have to do that," Ron said, starting a chocolate frog and looking at the wizard trading card.

"Don't let that hop away," I said, not taking my eyes off the book.

Ron gave Harry a funny look and mouthed, "How does she know?"

"Don't go fretting, it won't," Ron said, smirking.

Harry rolled his eyes.

"Whatever, I don't care bout my frog hopping away, I just want to start my nice, chocolaty frog," Ron said.

He opened his mouth to take a bite of the frog and quickly backed away and shut his mouth, being as he was about to bite into his hand. The chocolate frog was gone.
