It was a scorching day, and the air conditioner was broken. Watari was doing his best to fix it, but everything seemed to be melting, and fires were suddenly igniting. Everyone was locked in their rooms, trying desperately to cool off. Matt thought it was too hot to play video games, and Mello's chocolate had melted all over his hands. And his boxers, since he kept some chocolate in his dresser by accident. So, he was wearing chocolate boxers. Near suddenly trudged in, holding a melted robot. He laid on the floor and said,
"It's too hot in my room. So I'm coming in here."
Mello didn't seem to care, and so started licking chocolate from his hands while he and Matt laid on the floor with Near, directly in the path of the sun reflecting in from the window. They laid in a triangle so their fingertips were touching. A single beam of sun shone on them. They all raised their arms and legs into the air and pressed them together, saying in their boredom,
"Photosynthesis...Photosynthesis."
After each word, they went limp and repeated the process until a cloud blocked out the light. They went limp, then all at once looked like they were having a spaz attack as they screamed,
"MAKING, CHLOROPHYLL! MAKING, CHLOROPHYLL!"
L walked in, staring at the humans who may one day take over for him, and shrugged. They all stopped and moved into a square, giving L room. He took his space and the crazy screaming continued. From downstairs, Watari heard screaming and thumping and decided to go check on them, in case Matt and Mello were raping L. He hoped not.
So he went upstairs and could hear the words more clearly. However, he was extremely confused, and so opened the door to see them all screaming and having a spaz attack. He asked slowly,
"What, are you all doing?"
They all stopped and Mello raised his head to look at Watari before replying easily,
"Can't you tell? We're all,"
They all continued having spaz attacks and screaming,
"MAKING, CHLOROPHYLL! MAKING, CHLOROPHYLL!"
Watari slowly backed up and closed the door, taking a few calm steps away from the door, then he took off running. The four glanced at each other and shrugged. The sun came back out and their process began again.
