Okay, so this is my first ever free verse and I would really love some feedback on how to improve. I got the prompt Imperfect from the Freeverse Collection at Harry Potter Fanfiction Challenges forum and instantly thought of Victoire

Broken Mirrors

She can't walk past a

Mirror

Without looking out of the

Corner

Of her eye

(the beautiful ones that are oh so blue)

She can't resist the temptation

To see if that one

Is broken

Too

Because in a mirror she sees

Golden hair,

Perfect skin

Those oh so blue eyes.

But that's the Veela in her

(sometimes she hates maman for these genes)

Victoire is not the Veela

AND

The Veela is not Victoire

But no one looks past the

Veela...

As if Victoire is nothing but

Golden hair, perfect skin

And of course those oh so blue eyes

She expects the mirror to show Victoire

Not the Veela

But every single one is

B..r..o..k..e..n

Because they show

Golden hair,

Perfect skin

Those oh so blue eyes

Where are the tears

In those

Oh so blue eyes?

Where are the cuts

And cracks

And tears

And everything else that show that

Victoire

("Victoire Weasley? The Veela girl?")

Is broken.
