Seven months after Civil War

It had felt like an eternity since the confrontation in Siberia at the abandoned HYDRA facility. Many things had been done and said there, things that he regretted. So much changed and nothing bothered Tony more than change, he really wished that things had turned out differently, for everyone. He was reluctant to speak to Steve at first, but Pepper wore him down and may have to his recollection threatened him. From what Doctor Hayes had told him, Barnes had woken up from cryo in Wakanda and was just starting his recovery and physical therapy. He wasn't sure how to feel about all that, she said that she'd call with updates just like he requested. He felt bad, using Paige to ensure his own comfort and ease about the ex-HYDRA operative, but she was a therapist and her main policy was making sure her patient was calm and relaxed. He could maybe pay her for her service….Nah. "Looking good, boss." Friday chirped as Tony began to make his way downstairs.

"Thank you, Friday." He buttoned up his jacket as he suddenly looked up the disembodied voice. "Remind me to forward money to Doctor Hayes."

"Sure thing."

"What is this?" He asked eyes boggled as he gazed upon the ultimate worst evil he could possibly imagine amongst his friends. You'd think he would have greeted them with a firm handshake or compliment Natasha on her fiery red dress, or even a kiss on the mouth since he was Tony Stark after all and surprise was his middle name. But no, all he could do for the moment was stare and couldn't look away. He pointed to Pointbreak then Nat, Cap and back to Thor again. "You cut your hair, you're now blonde, you grew a beard and you're missing an eye!" He slowly backed away. "I can't deal with this! Didn't Pepper tell you all how I don't like change?" He turned quickly on his heels and made his way back up the stairs in a frenzy. "Pepper! Didn't you forward everyone how I can't stand change?!" The group stood in amazement and uneasiness, not sure whether to stay or try their luck with a bar in town.

"Told you he'd bail." Nat bragged, picking up her purse from the table. "Personally I think we all look great."

Steve nodded as he helped widow into her long, black coat. "I keep forgetting we have to ease him into things."

"Stark continues to worry and intrigue me," Thor replied holding the door open for the others as they all made the telepathic agreement to leave.

"No one told him about Visions new skin, right?" Natasha asked as she raised an eyebrow. Her two friends only shake their heads to answer. "I'll text him where we're going. If he calms down enough to come."

"Probably don't tell him we're engaged then," Steve replied, kissing Natasha's forehead. "At least not for a while." Thor and Widow agreed without hesitation as the made their way back to the garage, Not wanting to waste a perfectly good evening. " Do you think he noticed that I was wearing one of his old jackets?"
