His words had stung like a knife. Yet, she trusted him now. She had no reason to trust him. He wasn't trustworthy. He'd lied to her. Hurting her deep inside. She would never heal, but she could forgive.

He had sworn he would change. Now, she wasn't sure if he did. He seemed different, a slight bit. Maybe he deserved this chance. She couldn't decide.

"I'm done with my old ways," he always told her.

"Then why can't I believe you," the girl would asked. This resulted in many different answers. It was a question the boy couldn't even answer.

"I'm sorry, but you have to believe me. I've changed," was one of his many responses. She wasn't going to buy it.

"You haven't changed a bit," she would yell.

"But, I have," he pleaded to be forgiven.

"No you haven't. You're the same person who left me in that cave," she said, a single tear sliding down her face.

"I'm sorry for that. I'm sorry for everything I've done that's hurt you," he told her.

"Everything that's hurt me, is your lies," she hissed.

"They're old lies. They can't hurt you know," he tried to comfort her, but she squirmed away.

"They've already done enough damage to hurt me now," she cried.

"I'm sorry, just know I love you," he turned and walked away.

"Wait! Ian," she cried out. "I love you too!"

"Ian stopped in his tracks. He spun around and raced back to Amy.

"I'm sorry I didn't believe you before." Amy sobbed, into his chest.

"It's alright, love. I understand." Ian replied. He pulled Amy closer and kissed her.

As Amy leaned into the kiss more, she realized his old lies were in the past. Their love was in the future.

It's short, since this is my first time writing Amian! So hopefully you enjoyed. Feel free to review.
