Pretending:
Victoire has always been treated like a doll, a princess, getting everything she could ever dream of. She puts on a smile and thanks everyone, her parents and admires for all the attention. She feels like she has to put on a show, even for Teddy.
Teddy, he seemed different at first. That was when they were kids, though. Now that they're older, he treats her like the rest, like she's a china doll; fragile and easily broken. It annoys the Ravenclaw to no end. She's not fragile, not easily broke, however, she pretends.
There's one person Victoire doesn't have to pretend around, Molly. Molly always treats her like she treats everyone else. Molly only ever gets to see Victoire without the facade, without the mask the blonde presents to the rest of the world.
Molly never pretends. Molly always is exactly who she is. She's been called a prat for it, among other things. Victoire doesn't know why her cousin gets called all those names, Molly's only being who she is. She isn't pretending, like herself.
That's probably what made the difference between them, Molly was brave, a proper Gryffindor. She was always exposing who she truly was, even if the world didn't agree or even like who she presented herself as.
Victoire wishes she could be more like her cousin, exposing herself. She can't, being herself doesn't seem like her. The Ravenclaw plays it safe and holds back.
Molly wishes that she could be more like Vic, an actress. She wishes she could act more like her cousins, more...fun-loving.
Victoire loves Molly, even if she's called a prat, even if she gets tormented by her fellow students. She'd never admit it though...it's not her. Even when they're together, even when Victorie is being the Vic that Molly is attracted to, she still pretends.
Pretends not to notice her cousins affection for her.
And pretends not to return it.
