Book 1: SAO Part 1: A New Art

Chapter 1: Beginning

In a world, anime and reality join together to create a new, exciting world of battles and challenges. In the country of Shengon, three teens will start their new journey into their world. The story starts with one named K. K is about to join two others in their world.

"Alright, time to go," thought K as he got his gear. K got his things and set out. He stopped at his friend's home. He saw Kendall on her porch.

"Are you ready?" he asked.

"Yeah," she responded as she got off the porch. The two walked on a route out of their town.

Soon after they left, K and Kendall came upon a city.

"Where are we?" Kendall asked.

"I don't know," responded K. In the center of the city, there was a poster that read: Nagato Moto has finally updated nerv-gear along with CADEP.

"What's nerv-gear?" asked K.

"It's a system of technology that disables motor functions to enjoy and experience created video games and other products," said a boy walking up to K and Kendall.

"Who are you?" asked K.

The boy said, "Just a boy who knows about VRMMORPG's."

"What's a VRMMORPG?" asked K.

"A virtual reality massive multiplayer online role playing game," said the boy."

Kendall asked," Then, what is CADEP?"

The boy said," The Computer and Digital Evolution Project."

"Well, thanks," said K. K and Kendall went on. As they walked, they saw a building with a sign that read: Announcing the Sword Art Online beta test. The beta test will be held at 3:00 p.m. at the CADEP building.

"Hey look," said Kendall curiously. "What's a beta test?"

K said, "A test that allows beta testers to test games, game systems, or game equipment before they sell and advertise them. I'm going to participate." K and Kendall ran back to the CADEP building. When Kendall tried to enter, she was pushed out by two men.

"What the heck?!" Kendall said loudly.

One of the men said, "Sorry. We only allow professional beta testers to participate." The two men shut the doors.

"This is wrong," said Kendall insultingly. "That's unfair."

K asked, "What happened?"

Kendall responded, "They kicked me out because I'm not a professional beta tester." The boy from before walked to the CADEP building.

"Hey," said Kendall as she waved at the boy. The boy waved back and continued to the CADEP building.
