Blossoms : Bright Yellow Star
Rating: G
Author's Notes: First ever straight Naruto fanfiction. And I wrote something incredibly rare. ShinoIno [falls flat on floor]! I love this pairing, but as usual…NO FLAMES! I could be writing another chapter. Please review! Horray for Ino-chan!

She doesn't know, but I always watch her.
But how long will I stay this way?
Will I forever watch her from afar?
All because she doesn't remember me anymore…
I can only watch.

"Why are you always alone?"
As I sit in the swing, she looks down on me…her blue eyes shining, reflecting all that she was; a bright yellow star that I will always have to reach out to. The autumn wind blew gently, as my eyes always remained in focus with her smile, and the flowers she brought with her.
Like her hair and aura, golden sunflowers glorify the brightest star.
There was a light that surrounded her that blinded me.
Behind the tinted shades, I can still see her.
But I never talk back.
Countless times has she spoken to me, but I never talk back.
She sits beside me, swinging moderately, talking about love and life, in the eyes of a child. Everything was pure and innocent, and she talked more and would listen, mesmerized by her views.
"Do you like bugs?"
I nodded, she laughed.
"That's weird! But you know what? I sort of…think they're cute…I saw you the other day, you were playing with them…they seemed nice…"
She paused, still smiling.
Her eyes painted with a tint of sadness.
"They must be your bestfriends…I-I used to have a bestfriend too!"
I winced , I knew who it was. It was another little girl that I couldn't much remember. She followed the bright yellow star everywhere and hardly let go. But someone came in between her and the bright yellow star…so they never spoke again.
"Why don't you talk back? I never hear from you…"
I looked at her a bit surprised.
"I wanted to hear from you…I wanted to hear a lot of things…I don't even know your name."
My heart cried that moment. I could never tell her how I felt. I could never…I could never be a part of her.
She was a bright, yellow star and I was a boy with bugs for friends.
"You're pretty."
I saw her, getting down from the swing and standing before me.
She cried.
"Ino-chan is nothing but pretty, because if she was, somebody would love her! But nobody does! Nobody wants to be with her!"
I frowned, why would she think that?
The gleaming light from within her...
She did not see it?
"Because if I was what you think I am…then…Sakura-chan wouldn't leave me alone!"
I stood up as well to face her; I reached out my arms, calling for her. She looked up to me this time, wiping the tears.
She leaned into my chest, sobbing. And I stroke her hair.
The boy she "loved", she didn't love at all. But she could never tell Sakura that.

More than anyone else, I knew you the most. But I chose to let go and say goodbye; because I will never make you happy…
But I can always watch. I can always watch you from afar.
I still wish you can remember me from before, but I'll never put my hopes too high.
Because seeing you is my greatest contentment.
Whether you remember me or not.
