Her Eyes Were Like The Sea
(Her Eyes Fooled Us)
A.N.: To Lauren (HaiMrSaxophone) - one of the coolest people I've met on Twitter. =)
Her eyes were like the sea; so blue and deep, that you would go lost in them, just like sailors get lost at sea.
When she was mad, they would go all blurry and dark, that it looked like there was a storm. A hailstorm which held no survivors.
And with those eyes (eyes that held the sky when the sun came out after the rain, and when they saw a rainbow that had no beginning and no end) she was able to fool them. Able to convince them that she didn't held that gun. That she didn't kill him. Convince them that she was innocent.
As Jameson Rook saw the hurt in the eyes of Detective Nikki Heat while she was cuffing the girl, and when his body wasn't consumed by happiness, or joy, he knew that this was one of the cases they lost, even though their killer was caught.
"One gone, one ruined.", he said, as Detective Nikki Heat came by his side.
"Her eyes fooled us."
"Watcha working on dad?", Alexis Castle came up to her father, taking a sneak peak to his laptop, reading the words that filled the 'paper'.
"Just needed to get something off my mind.", he said, his eyes blank, focused on the space in front of him, giving the white wall all his attention
"Stil thinking about the case, huh?"
"Yeah", he answered her question, turning his head, focusing his eyes on hers
"Her eyes fooled us."
A.N.: I apologise for the lack of case awesomesaucness (wow, that's a long word).
