Rolf Scamander had just finished his ballad about the day they met. Other than being a great successful wizarding naturalist, he was also a good poet. Clearing his throat noisily, he recited it to thin air, practicing for the time he would finally read it to her at their anniversary. And here was how it went:
The Nargles in the Mistletoe
As I walk under the mistletoe,
I did really quite exclaim!
Why, I saw a girl about my age,
Luna Lovegood was her name.
And then, when she came here,
Wide-eyed and dreamily,
I thought wonderingly, afterwards,
What she had to do with me.
And she answered, yes indeed!
As though she read my mind,
Step away from the mistletoe-
for Nargles you might right find.
Now, I thought this was funny,
And I just started laughing!
But she looked up quite perplexed,
So I asked, what is so baffling?
I would really like you to try on,
She said seemingly satisfied,
My butterbeer cork necklace!
It looked funny, however, I complied!
