A/N I don't own Winx Club. If I did, all it would show is Palladium. Also, since we never learn the teachers' first names, I'm just gonna use my own names. Please don't use them without my permission! Or do. I don't care. :P
Palladium sighed as he looked at the door to Professor Avalon's room. He remembered the joy he felt when he saved the clone, and the overwhelming shame when he found out that it was an imposter.
He lifted his fist up to knock, then let it fall back to his side. Palladium wanted to tell the real Avalon what had happened, but he was too nervous to see the anger in his eyes.
Finally, the elf made up his mind. Determination filled his eyes as he knocked, but immediately faded when he heard Avalon say "Come in!"
Palladium opened the door and poked his head through. He saw Avalon sitting in a chair.
"Hello! And, you are...?" Avalon asked him.
"It's Avery Palladium." He replied.
"Wesley Avalon. Pleasure to meet you, Palladium!" Avalon replied.
"So, what brings you here?" He asked. Palladium sat down in a chair opposite of Avalon.
"Just wanted to see how you were doing. After all, from what I've heard, Shadow Haunt is a very... how should I put it? Haunting place."
"It is. Is that all you wanted, Palladium," Avalon asked him, "or is there something else that you want to tell me?"
Palladium sighed. He figured that he might as well tell him.
"Has Faragonda told you how the Codex from Pixie Village was stolen?" Palladium asked.
"Yes, but not completely. I know that My clone tricked a staff member as well as a pixie to show Icy where the village was." Avalon told him.
"Well, that staff member was me..." It was said now. Palladium could feel hot tears forming in the corner of his eyes.
"That's a heavy burden on your shoulders..." Avalon replied. Palladium looked up at him in shock, tears slowly falling down his face.
"Why are you crying?" Avalon asked.
"I-I..." Palladium faltered, he couldn't find any words to describe what he was feeling. Guilt, shame, anger directed at himself... It was just too much for him to bear, and he started to sob, tears now cascading down his cheeks. Avalon walked over to him and wiped the tears off his face.
"It's okay. Darkar is gone now, the Codex pieces are back where they belong. No harm's done." He reassured the crying elf. He hugged Palladium, startling him.
"Palladium?" Avalon asked.
"Yes Avalon?"
"You're beautiful." Avalon said before he pressed his lips against the elf's. Palladium's eyes widened, but he didn't push away. Instead he pressed back just as hard, making Avalon redden.
After a little bit of kissing, the two men said goodbye. As Palladium walked out, Avalon felt a wave of sadness. He knew that they could never be together, it was against the rules. But someday they would. Someday.
