Declaimer: J.K. Rowling owns all

He was standing in a room filled with long forgotten objects, but he didn't care for any of them except the one in front of him. Erised stra ehru oyt ube cafru oyt on wohsi was inscribed along the top of the mirror. Strangely enough, the mirror did not reflect the blue-haired boy sitting in front of it. The scene before Teddy Lupin's eyes was one of a smiling couple. The man had sandy-blonde hair and a scarred face, but it was easy to see the love in his eyes for the woman he held in his arms. She had bubblegum-pink hair and she carried herself in a way that screamed "don't mess with me or I'll hex you." The couple would gaze at each other fondly and then look down at Teddy with love filling their eyes.

He didn't turn around when he heard the footsteps approaching. He already knew who it was. She always found him. Always.

The beautiful blonde witch knelt beside Teddy and gently touched his shoulder, "'The ones that love us never really leave us.' Uncle Harry said that his godfather said that… you're not alone Teddy."

Teddy didn't even bother asking how Victoire knew what he saw; he sometimes thought that she knew him better that himself. Instead he asked, "What do you see?"

Because he was still facing the mirror, Teddy missed the blush that appeared on Victoire's face.

"I… I see… me and…" she trailed off and then looked towards the mirror again. A light smile graced her face and she restarted in a soft whisper, "I see a beautiful future with the one… the ones I love. We're all smiling as if we found the perfect place in this world for us. We know where we belong."

Victoire turned to face him again and spoke in a more serious voice, "You don't forget what happened. You embrace the memories that people give you. You don't get over, you only get through. You're loved Teddy. Don't close yourself off. I know that I don't understand, but I'm always here to be a shoulder to lean on or a person to talk to. You have a family that loves you. Whether or not they've said in out loud…" She had whispered the last part. Victoire placed a gentle kiss on his cheek and left with in a graceful fashion that only a Veela could have.

Teddy sat for minute before straightening up as he finally made sense of what she had meant, spoken and unspoken. He stood up abruptly and turned to leave before glancing back to look at his parents again. His father has trying restrain himself from laughing while his mother was motioning to him to run after the witch. Teddy Lupin turned and raced after the gorgeous witch that had stolen his heart last year, determined to let her know of that fact.
