I don't Own rescue bots, Hasbro does. If I did, SEASON 2 WOULD BE OUT BY NOW!
I edited some stuff, so...ENJOY! Set 2 weeks after "The Lost Bell"
A flash of lightning illuminated the bedroom of young Cody Burns. The youngest Burns whimpered at the sound of thunder. Thunderstorms had always scared the boy, but this was the first one since what the bots dubbed "The Present Pirate" storm. When he almost lost his family forever. The fear he had during that ordeal was tremendous, but he didn't let it show. He wanted to show the bots he could care for himself. But...the thought of never seeing his dad, his brothers or his sister ever again was...unnerving, to say the least.
BOOM!
A small scream of terror escaped its prison as another flash of lightning blinded the blond boy, the thunder shaking the ground soon after. Heart pounding, Cody laid in his bed, and looked at the clock on his nightstand. 11:35 PM floated in the darkness. Thank God for Friday's or else school would suck even more half asleep. Peach colored lids squeezed shut over chocolate eyes, as Cody fell into a fitful sleep.
Darkness.
Darkness everywhere.
Light seemed to be extinct. Wait! A flash. Light.
No. Lightning.
A roar. Thunder. They seemed to be mad, no furious about...what?
Rain. Harsh, cold, unforgiving; pelting everyone and everything in it's path, sting flesh.
Wind howling. Pushed him back. A bag laid in brown clad hands.
They ached, the bag was heavy. Screams, full of panic. A container. Flying toward him.
He screamed, ran. The dock ran out. The Bots covered him, protected him from being crushed.
CRUNCH! It missed, hitting the dock. It broke away.
Water. Salty water. Stung his eyes, burning them. More screams. Panic.
Eyes opened. A mas of yellow under a speck of vivid orange; A dot of wheat brown mashed with green; A reddish brown, dark grey, and burnt orange blob; a grey and blue figure. Brothers. Sister. Father.
"CODY!"
Dad?
"Are you alright?!"
Am I? I'm drifting to sea; alone.
No not alone. Brothers; Uncle; Alien yet family.
But... will I ever see you again? Daddy. Kadey? Grammy? Dandan?
Or will I see mommy? Mommy. I want mommy.
"We'll find you. I PROMISE!"
Daddy, I can't see you. Grip, slipping.
NO! PLEASE!
Lungs burn, even more screams. My family, all of you. Uncle, Father, Brothers, Sister.
"CODY!"
Limbs aching; head pounding; lungs burning. Cold. So cold.
Death. Darkness...Light
"NOOOOO!" Sweat poured from the young boy, sticking his golden locks to his head. His heart bruises his rib cage with it's fast rapid pace. Cody jumped out of bed, despite the hour. He needed his family. He didn't want to be alone.
Racing down the door, this yanked open the first door closed to his room; Kade's room. Empty.
Dani's room: Empty
Grahams: Empty
Dads: Empty.
No. "DAD! KADE! GRAHAM! DANI! SOMEBODY! PLEASE!" Tears poured from his eyes. Please. He didn't want to be alone. Please. Cody sank down to the floor...
...and sobbed.
" What the?!" Kade felt his heart jump in his chest at the scream. Currently, he sat at the kitchen table with his little brother, Graham. Why, you asked. Four car pile up, where his father and sister were at. Why four teenagers deiced to race at 120 miles an hour at 2 am in a thunderstorm was beyond him.
The scream chilled his blood, and from the look on Graham's face, he had the same reaction. That scream... he hadn't heard a scream like that since that time he showed Cody "A Nightmare on Elmstreet" when he was 7.
Both Kade and Graham ran up the stairs only to find their little brother crying his eyes out.
"Cody!" Graham ran forward first, and engulfed Cody in a hug, Kade following.
"Hey, hey, what's wrong?" Kade asked, worry embedded in his blue eyes.
Cody only cried harder, burying his face in Graham's chest. "Don't leave. Please."
Both elder brothers shared a worried glace. What happened?
Kade let go of his brothers while Graham lifted his baby brother into his arms and carried Cody to his room. Kade followed.
Cody just cried, clinging to Graham, and tightened it as Graham set him down on his bed. He could feel the mattress being weighed down as his brothers sat down on either side. "What's up, buddy?"
"B-b-b-ba-ad d-d-dre-e-eam."
"You had a nightmare?" Kade asked, his voice gentle.
"d-d-duh! D-did I-I-I-I st-t-tut-ter-er?" Kade smirked as his brothers sarcasm.
"A little, yeah."
"Do you wanna talk about it?" Graham asked, rubbing soothing circles on Cody's back.
"No." Kade frowned. " Alright then, Graham, let's go."
"NO!" Cody clung even tighter.
"You said you didn't wanna talk about it, so we'll go."
"Please, stay." Kade and Graham felt their hearts shatter at their baby brother's broken voice.
"Then can you tell us? We wanna know what;s got you so upset bud." Graham hugged his brother tighter and Kade joined.
"O-o-oka-ay."
Cody buried his fave even deeper into Graham's chest. "I w-wa-as b-ack on t-the,"
"Shh, take a deep breath squirt." Kade ran his hand through Cody's blond locks. " That's it. Breathe."
Cody, much calmer, spoke out his nightmare. Kade and Graham's eyes were the size of dinner plates by the end. "Please don't leave me."
Kade chuckled, "As long as you don't leave us."
Cody smiled, "Okay." A yawn escaped it's way out of Cody's mouth. Graham looked at the clock. 3:30 AM "I think's it's time for all of us to got back to bed."
Cody tensed at the thought of being alone again. "We won't leave." Kade said, tucking Cody into bed.
"Promise?" "Promise. Fireman's honor."
Graham laid down on top the comforter, wrapping a protective arm around his only little brother. Kade walked over to the closet in the hall, taking out an old quilt their mother made before... he shuttered thinking about it. He lost his mother, he'd be damned if he lost her little baby boy. Tossing the quilt over both his brothers and laying down himself, the red head felt Cody snuggle against his broad chest all the while staying in Graham's grip.
Both brothers had made a vow that night; You'll never be alone. Not while we're here.
So there. Edited Chapter one. I'll get to the others another time. Soon, hopefully. Watching these rerun's on Netflix aren't working anymore. R&R
