Before I hung up the phone all I could hear

The cell phone rings.
"Bobby, its Alex."
"Hey do we have a case?"
"No, I just… I've been thinking….Danmit Bobby I love you!"

Before he can speak she hangs up and all he hears is the dial tone.

Oh… Alex you are that special person. Why couldn't I say those three words? He got back on the elevator and rode to the roof. As he looked out on the city he said these words "I love you Alex." And as Alex drove home she thought of the pain of having to find another. "Love you, Bobby." And with that Bobby walk off the roof and Alex slide on black ice crashing into a tree.
