Inside Me

Icy blue eyes in which I could lose myself in, but friendship bars the way.
I play around, crouched low, hiding the blushes escaping today.
Unsure how to answer the question of the year…
Because I know the answer you won't hear.
Hearts pound as you come close, but I'm a poison, much more than a dose.
Questions run through continuously:
Should I tell what I hide from him, tormentingly?
Should I come closer than I am, or fade away like a bead in the sand?
What should I do?
Let me stand there and lie to you?
Should I make my move now, or should I play it cool?
What am I supposed to do?
What if I break your heart in two?
Those deep blue eyes I wish to sink in, but friendship bars the away.
I play around, crouched down, hiding the blushes escaping today.
But feelings will arise one day,
And awkwardness will fade away.
I'll be in complete happiness…
When my secret's shed today.
