So...first fic...well, ficlet, for The Avengers. I really do love the entire Marvel universe and I actually wrote this directly after seeing the movie and I accidentally had saved it in the wrong spot on my computer. Whoops. (: Enjoy anyways!

Summary :: Sometimes, Tony doesn't know how to shut up. Steve/Tony. Light Slash, Fluff.
It was a quick moment, a simple one, that came out of nowhere.
Steve had been sitting silently beside Tony, listening to the scientist continue on about the newest thing he was building. Steve had stopped registering the words only moments ago and his focused had changed to the other man's mouth. Tony's voice was smooth and had a hint of excitement and pride while talking about his work. His lips formed the words with almost a sort of grace and Steve couldn't stop watching.
Tony remembered rambling on about his latest project when all of a sudden a pair of lips were on his, soft and warm and amazing and perfect.
Steve pulled back just enough to look into his teammate's eyes. There was a sense of fear, a small line of hope, and a spark of curiosity lying in the bright blue color of Cap's eyes. Tony just gave him a reassuring smile, one that sort of melted his heart.
"If you wanted me to shut up, all you had to do was say so." Tony whispered, eyelashes lifting to reveal bright eyes as he looked up at Steve.
Steve shrugged one shoulder and chewed softly on his bottom lip. "I like this way better." He smiled brightly.
Tony pressed closer to the Captain with another smile. "Good." Tony nodded lightly. "Cause I do too."
Their eyes met for one more second before Tony tugged at Steve's shirt and touched their lips together again. Tony made a mental note to ramble on a little more often if this was going to be Steve's strategic way of silencing him.
