Wilhelmina stood staring out of her bedroom window. The clock on her nightstand read 3:18 a.m. and the soft snores of the man in her bed weren't the reason she was still awake. The very thought that she let him stay over was what kept her awake. They'd been keeping up this "nightly ritual" for almost two months and not once has she let him stay. She didn't know what it meant. Did she miss the feeling of a man's arms around her at night? Did she want someone to wake up to in the morning? Did she just want the comfort of knowing someone was there next to her? She had no clue, but she was slowly freaking out.

"Hey," came a groggy voice from the bed behind her.

She slowly turned around and bit her lip to keep from smiling at his sleepy form. His hair was sticking out in about five directions, his boxers were twisted at his waist, and there were two hickeys on his collarbone from their previous activities. "What are you doing over there?"

She shrugged. "Wilhelmina Slater doesn't cuddle."

"Why not?"

His question threw her off guard for a second, but she quickly recovered.

"Because we're not a couple, Daniel. Damnit, we've talked about this." She tried to sound angry, but it came out just plain annoyed.

"Sleeping together, not sex, actually sleeping, doesn't make us a couple." He replied, too tired to argue.

"But it makes us more… intimate."

"And having sex isn't intimate?"

"When it's just sex, no!"

He scoffed and got out of the bed, grabbing his jeans and stepping into them.

"What are you doing?" she asked.

"I'm leaving. I don't want to make things "too intimate" between us. If that means sleeping at separate apartments, then so be it."

He pulled on his t-shirt and grabbed his keys.

"Daniel, wait."

He huffed and put his hands on his hips. "What."

She let the smart ass reply slip, not wanting him to leave. "Stay."

"Wilhelmina, I'm not going to-"

"Please." She closed her eyes, not recognizing her own voice. "I want you to stay."

He stared at her for a moment. "Only if you go to bed with me…" he said. "To sleep" he added when he noticed her eyebrow rise slightly.

She nodded and removed her robe, revealing her silky nightgown. She climbed into bed and pulled the covers over herself. Daniel watched her for a minute, before removing his jeans and getting in next to her. He kept his distance, wanting to give her space since she "doesn't cuddle". He sighed and closed his eyes, feeling sleep overtake him. He suddenly felt movement next to him and then a warm body press against his. He opened his eyes and saw Wilhelmina inching closer and closer towards him until her chest was against his, her arm draped over his side, her legs tangled with his, and then her face buried in his neck. He smiled and put his arms around her.

"I thought Wilhelmina Slater didn't cuddle."

"Shut up, Meade."

A/N: This was my first Danimina fic and I still think it's my best one. All the others suck. Royally. So, please, review! Your reviews help motivate me to write more! Ciao!
