The Truth
~I'm just a line breaker, don't mind me...~
When no one could find Annabeth, of course Chiron sent her. Sure, just because she'd dealt with loosing Chris to his crazy-ness, did not mean she had any desire to go comfort the daughter of Athena.
Why couldn't they send Rachel, or Lexia, Annabeth's sister? She wasn't Annabeth's friend. Allies? Sure. But not friends.
She knew where the blonde would be. To her, it was obvious. Cabin three.
Clarisse opened the door to the green and blue cabin, stepping in. She willed her voice to smoothen out, and decrease in volume,
"Princess?"
She heard sniffles from the back of the cabin. Clarisse walked over to the bunk, where the daughter of Athena was laying in the fetal position on a bunk. Clarisse noticed the pictures taped up on the wall, and realized that this must be his bunk.
The younger girl cracked open a bloodshot eye, "Oh. Why are you here, Clarisse?"
She shrugged, "No one could find you. Chiron told me to go look for you."
Tears were still streaming down the girl's face. She'd refused to really cry for two weeks. She'd shed a couple tears every now-and-then, but not really cry.
Clarisse was shocked. This girl was tough. Really tough. And there she was, sobbing.
She thought back to those sleepless nights, when she'd make midnight visits to the insane boy in the Big House.
"We're going to find him." She told the blonde. Clarisse knew they would; with the information the new kid had given them.
Annabeth's face was puffy and red, "What if he doesn't remember me?"
She awkwardly patted her arm, "He will. If not, I'll make him."
Clarisse secretly though Percy was a good guy. He made Annabeth happy. She had known Annabeth for ten years, and she'd never seen her be as happy as she was until Percy'd been kidnapped.
Now, it was over.
"What if he has a new girlfriend?"
Clarisse shot up. Damn. She hadn't thought of that, but clearly, Annabeth had. She'd admit it, Percy was a good-looking guy, of course, Chris took the cake, but still. He wouldn't have a problem getting a girl to like him.
It all depended on how much memory Hera had stollen.
"I don't know. I wish I could tell you otherwise."
This was one of the few moments when Clarisse shed her "emotionless tyrant" act. She was a girl, y'know?
Annabeth looked up at her, "Thank you. Everyone keeps telling me that he won't forget me, and all this crap. I needed the truth."
"He loves you. I really doubt that he'd get another girlfriend, but I'm not going to tell you things that might not happen."
Annabeth nodded, "I'm just scared."
She nodded, "I would be too. Come on, Princess. They're wondering where you are."
A/N: Sorry. I just LOVE Clarisse, and I need some more of her. Plus, I really wanted to write this. New chapter of Invasion is coming soon!
