A kit played in the field, imitating its mother's actions, only to end up looking like a ball of fluff. The larger of the two foxes was crouched, tall grass mixing in with its even pale fur. A brown rabbit stuck its head of off the hole; deciding it was safe hopped out. Golden eyes narrowed into slits, zoning in on its prey, before pouncing on the rabbit before it got the chance to turn and run. Sharp white teeth clamped around its neck killing the small creature. Turning around the mother found that her kit was nowhere in sight.

Said kit was chasing a butterfly, white and tan fur gleaming against the rays of sunlight as it passed through cracks of the thick foliage. Before she new it, she was lost to far away to hear or smell her mother. Not only that but she was starving, its late fall and food is becoming harder to come by. Panic soon over took the cubs playful atmosphere, as she began trying to follow her trail back, running.
Slipping through the bars of an old wooden fence, she kept going trying to find something familiar. Anything familiar, anything that would lead her back to her home, and her caring mother. Who would surely be looking for her by now. With this thought she began to slow down, thinking it best to stay still so that mother would pick up on her scent.
Unaware of the being behind her, she sat, ready to brave the looming night as the sun began setting. She looks up, noting how unnaturally dark it got, in time to see a pair of small hand reaching out towards her.
Thank you for reading and hope you come back for more chapters.
And I know this makes no sense now but it will later. Trust me!
