"Nezumi?" Shion whispered.

He watched intently as Nezumi's shoulders rose and fell with every quiet breath.

"Nezumi, are you awake?"

A sigh and a soft groan slipped from the long haired boys throat.

"What."

"I was just wondering…" Shion paused. "If you could live anywhere but here, where would you live?"

Nezumi was silent for a moment. He turned over onto his back. Shion's large eyes reflected the tiny amount of light in the darkened room. He stretched his arms up and tucked them behind his head.

"Somewhere near water," Shion's feet shifted under the covers. "Maybe near the ocean."

"Hm." Shion stared out into the darkness. "And would you live there with me?"

Nezumi snorted quietly. A laugh catching in his throat.

"Hell no, you're a pain in the ass. High maintenance and a huge pain in the ass."

Nezumi could practically feel Shion's pout. He couldn't help but smile at the boy's earnest questions. They were too simple, too honest, he couldn't help but unleash a bit of his wrath.

"Oh, I see," His voice shrank into the darkness.

"But," Nezumi sighed again. "I suppose Hamlet would miss having someone to read aloud to him."

Shion gasped, trying to stifle his excitement.

"Then it's settled." Shion stuck a finger into Nezumi's side. "I'll just have to come with you." He grinned. "For Hamlet's sake, of course."

"For Hamlet's sake, huh?" Nezumi repeated, glancing down at Shion's smiling face.

He closed his eyes.

He felt a light pressure against his shoulder. Something soft tickled the side of his face. He let his arm wrap around it and hugged it to his chest.

"For Hamlet's sake."
