Changed (in the house of flies)
Summa ry: On his fifteenth birthday Danny Fenton disappeared. Four years later, he's back, but he's not the Danny you once knew.
Chapter One: Bleeding Hearts
He lay there, body shaking, tears falling. I stared at him, my eyes wide with horror. My heart refused to beat, my body refused to move. My mind refused to believe, because…because it was impossible, because it couldn't be happening, because he couldn't exsist in this world, because… because he'd been gone so long ago. We'd given up on him months ago. Because we knew, we felt that he was lost to us.
Forever.
And yet, here he lay, in front of my feet. No matter how broken, no matter how much blood covered his delicate, beautiful skin, I knew it was him.
It was then at that moment I realized that I hadn't really loved, hadn't really lived since he'd gone.
I try to speak, to let my heart reach the place which it had been denied for so long but there is nothing. No voice, no sound, no screams of anger like I had thought there would be if he dared to return after what he'd done to me, to tuck, to all of us.
Instead, my eyes stare at the body which had been the shell of the object which had been my source of affection.
It was different now, then what it had once been. What was once a clean, slick bundle of black hair was now a tangled mess of blood and sand.
The body was curled into a protective ball. What had once been pale smooth skin was now tanned, rough and covered in blood.
He was so different. Where ever he had gone, he wasn't the same. I stared frozen in place for hours. I watched him shake, and I watched him suffer. I did nothing to ease his pain.
A/N: So, what do you think?
