First, I would like to wish reppad98 a very Happy Christmas! Enjoy this fluffy thing!

Disclaimer: I do not own Pokémon. If I did, Eevee would be the mascot.

Past, Present, Future

When Pikachu broke that girl's bicycle, Ash knew he was in quite a predicament. He wasn't too world weary, how would he obtain the money to pay her?

In the meantime, the girl was trying to sort out the emotions for the bike-breaker. On one hand, he… broke her bike. On the other, he seemed so clueless she couldn't help but feel terrible for him. Not to mention, she found him to be slightly good looking.

But the two travelled with one another, and nothing quite matched the girl's heartbreak when he left for Hoenn.

Ash was still rather clueless.

The sun was setting over Striaton Gym, the cool summer night air beginning to set over the Gym Leaders, their recent challenger Ash, and the young dragon master in training Iris.

Cilan, one of the leaders, was going on temporary leave of his duties as Gym Leader to travel with Ash and Iris. He wanted to be the greatest Pokémon Connoisseur in Unova, able to infallibly deduce bonds between Pokémon and trainer.

Well, he may have had other reasons for his departure, but that was certainly the only one he said aloud.

In truth, he found Iris to be very cute.

And she, vice versa.

Iris had grown to care very much for Cilan during their travels. When his birthday came, she was the most insistent on celebrating, even though he himself protested that they keep moving, as they were in the middle of nowhere. He appreciated her enthusiasm though.

When Iris's birthday came, he had done the exact same thing, although she was more than happy about it (they were in Nimbasa City at the time). Ash had found their behavior to be very amusing, as he could not notice the reason for their odd behavior.

When his birthday came, he noticed they seemed they paid most attention to each other. He dismissed it, Iris always teased him anyway (he presumed speaking to Cilan was her way of avoiding this) and Cilan was probably trying to avoid rambling about his professions. Those were great birthday behaviors.

Nothing quite matched Ash's confusion when a passing trainer called them 'lovebirds.' Though, he found their reaction to be quite priceless.

Twenty years later, Ash had finally figured out the reason for their strange behavior, as he and Misty wound up experiencing the same thing. He casually watched two children, a little girl with raven hair and cerulean eyes and a little boy with dark violet hair and green eyes, as they played by the fireplace. Cilan and Dawn were watching them, giggling slightly while Paul coldly watched from the corner. Outside, Gary and Leaf were laughing and smiling with their son and daughter, whilst throwing snowballs around the yard.

Ash sighed. Perhaps love's ways don't end with him…

At the end of their lives, everything was peaceful. There were no evil teams terrorizing innocents, no legendaries rampaging. Jessie and James were calmly living with Meowth as law abiding citizens, Team Rocket had disbanded.

Ash thought life was uneventful. Though Misty was at his side, his thirst for adventure never ceased, even as he lay on his deathbed.

Cilan thought life was perfect. Peace reigned over Unova, there wasn't any panic. He and his brothers were gym leaders again, Iris had become Champion and proved to be one of the best leaders Unova had ever seen. She managed to be an even-headed reasonable leader. Even in their deathbed, they were happy.

I hoped you like it reppad! Everyone else too!

Happy Christmas and Happy New Year!
