"It hurts, Troy." Gabriella groaned, squeezing her boyfriend's hand.

"Just hang in there, okay Baby?" said Troy, kissing her hand.

"It hurts," she groaned again.

"I know, I wish I could stop it." whispered Troy.

Gabriella's groans turned into screams. "Troy!" she cried.

Troy's eyes glittered with tears as he watched Gabriella in pain. His heart raced as she gripped his hand tighter. He could feel her sweat in his palms, and he could sense her heartbeat growing faster. "Everything will be okay, alright?" he said softly, stroking her hair.

Gabriella let out a heavy scream. Her breathing turned into panting, as if she were desperate for air. Her face was shiny from all the tears that had been released from her dark eyes. Her chocolate curls were now soaked with sweat.

Troy could see the pain in her eyes. He could see how she was trying to push away the hurt.

Gabriella closed her eyes tightly and took a deep breath. "Troy…it…hurts!" she yelped.

A frantic Troy squeezed her hand, letting her know he was right beside her. "I'm right here, Gabriella." he whispered.

Gabriella produced an earsplitting cry. She groaned again, "It hurts!"

This time, Troy could sense she was angry, as her face was as red as a tomato. She wanted the pain to go away so badly, she was mad. The monitor displayed that her heart rate was building up. Within a few seconds, the monitor was beeping constantly. Troy was scared, he had never seen Gabriella in such pain.

Gabriella let out one last scream before her panting slowed down, before her speeding heart rate decreased, before she loosened her grip on Troy's hand. The pain was gone. Gabriella peacefully closed her eyes, breathing softly.

"It's a girl…" announced the doctor, holding up the tiny infant.

Gabriella's eyes watered, causing her brown eyes to glitter in the dim light.

The doctor had placed the baby in her arms.

Gabriella smiled down at the crying infant, proud at what she'd just done. And she couldn't have done it without Troy by her side.

A/N: I know, it seems like a sucky one-shot, but it's all I could think of! Well, review. NO FLAMES.
