It was an early Monday morning and Nick Vera was fast asleep in his bed only to be woken up rudely by a knock at the door grunting he climbed out of his bed not really caring that all he was wearing was a t-shirt and a pair of boxers walked up to the door and opened it.

"That is not a sight I wanted to see this early in the morning" Nick opened his eyes fully to see his little sister standing in the door way holding a baby bag and a baby.

"No!"

"But Nicky you promised"

"When? When I also said I'll run for president?" he yawned.

"Please Nicky. I'll only be gone for a few days"

"Yes but then it'll be a few more days then a week then two more then a month will have passed and you'll be in Vegas about to get married to a really bad Elvis impersonator"

"Nick I promise"

"Fine…" she passes the baby and bag over to him.

"Mummy will be back in a few days… bye, bye Erin…" she turned to Nick. "Thank you so much" and walked off. Nick looked down at the baby who was looking back at him.

"I guess it's just you and me kid… come on lets go watch some early morning cartoons" he shut the door and walked over to the sofa sitting down on it turning the TV on to Ren and Stimpy on. "You can't watch that…" he switched it over to Scooby Doo on. "… Now that you can watch"

Within twenty minutes both Nick and baby Erin are asleep and before he knows it was 9 am and his phone was ringing waking both of them up and causing baby Erin to cry.

"Shh. Shh…" Nick picked up the phone. "WHAT?"

"Your late" Nick smiled at the sound of Kat's voice on the other end of the phone.

"Crap…" He looked at his watch and sighed. "Can you do me this HUGE favour"

"Depends"

"Can you tell the boss I'm gunna be there in like twenty minutes and that I have a really good excuse that I'm late"

"I suppose so"

"Thank you so much"

"You owe me"

"I know…"they both hung up Nick looked down at his niece. "Looks like your coming to work with me beautiful"
