Neal awoke with a start. He could only hope everything that just happened was a dream. He would suddenly find himself in his bed next to Tamara. Then he felt the pain and it all came flashing back to him. He was in the warehouse with Emma and then Tamara had shot him before throwing the bean. Then there was that magical moment seconds before he fell through the portal when he and Emma said their "I love yous". Emma, Emma must think him dead. He had just fallen through a portal to god knows where what were his chances of survival.
"Look he's awake" A male voice called from outside the tent he was lying. The voice sounded slightly British to Neal who had spent the last twenty years on earth and had forgotten the Enchanted Forests range of accents. Eventually a man and a woman enter his tent while one woman stands outside by the door of the tent.
"Good Day to you Sir I am King Philip, this is my wife Queen Aurora and that woman standing guard outside the tent is our Royal Knight Fa Mulan" The man named Philip said to him.
"Where am I" Neal asked his companions. He was pretty sure he was in the Enchanted Forrest based on the clothing and the titles used by his saviours but he just wanted to make sure because as far as he knew the Enchanted Forrest was destroyed by the curse that his father had created to find him.
"You are in the Enchanted Forrest" Aurora answered truthfully
"I thought that the Enchanted Forrest was destroyed in the curse" Neal asked confused
"You're from Storybrook to do you know Emma, Henry, David and Mary Margaret" Aurora asked excitedly
"Yeah I guess you could say that I do know them pretty well" Neal said with a laugh remembering Emma telling him about how her parents were about her age. But then he thought about Henry and suddenly he stopped laughing. Not only did Emma think him dead but his son too. He had just gotten into his life and now he was completely out of it again.
"Did my wife say something wrong? You seem upset" Philip said sensing something was up with Neal
"No, No I am fine you're wife just reminded me of what I had left behind" Neal said forcing on a smile.
"So you did know them" Aurora said excitedly. Ever since Emma had departed Aurora and Mulan's presence six months ago Aurora had wished to talk to the blonde girl once more.
"Yes I did know them quite well. We were a family" Neal closing his eyes and remembering the small time he had had with them before being ripped away.
