Soccer Introduction and a New Team

On a dark rainy night, a small wagon carrying a load of luggage moved through the muddy roads. It stopped at the gates and the driver said, "So this is Kohona Village. Doesn't look like much, but appearances can be deceiving. Should be a good place to start over." With that, driver and wagon rode past the gates.

(Next morning)

The next day, the driver walked out of the apartment complex she moved into. She had waist-length brown hair in a pony tail, dark brown eyes, and wore a blue tank-top, red track pants, and old grey sneakers. She began walking through town with a soccer ball under her arm when she came across fifteen teenagers sitting about moping. "What's with you guys," the driver asked.

"There's nothing to do," a blond-haired boy said.

"Have you tried any sports?"

"Yeah. All boring"

The driver tossed her ball into the air and began kicking it around. She asked, "Have you tried soccer?" "No." "Well, let me show you." With that, she kicked the ball towards a pair of trees and ran after it. The teens were shocked when she flipped onto her hands and kicked the ball into air. She launched herself into the air and kicked the ball to the ground in-between the trees. The driver turned to the teens and was bombarded by "Can you teach us?"

"Sure. Call me Kayla, your new coach."

"I'm Naruto."

"Garra."

"Ino."

"Choji."

"Hinata."

"Kiba."

"Lee."

"Sakura."

"Sasuke."

"So troublesome. Shikamaru."

"Neji."

"Shino."

"Tenten."

"Kankuro."

"And I'm Temeri."

Kayla cleared her throat and in the strictest tone she could muster, said "Now soccer is no joke. It is a war. A war of talent, skill, and courage. In soccer, you must beat or be beaten. Do I make myself clear?" A chorus of "Yes Coach!" answered her. Kayla quickly went over the rules and had the new team do drills. After thirty minutes, Kiba walked up to Kayla and asked, "Hey Coach, what should we call the new team?"

Kayla had to admit, Kiba did bring a vital bit of information up. She looked at the team and noticed something: everyone moved with a different style she saw only once. Garra moved like the shifting sands, Ino moved like she was gracefully swimming underwater, Choji showed a small amount of strength, Hinata seemed to have angelic grace in her steps, Kiba moved like a wolf stalking it's prey, Lee gave a light jerking motion with his legs as he kicked, Sakura looked as if she was phasing through the others, Sasuke's movements showed a definite anger inside, Naruto was running so fast it was almost as if he was floating, Shikamaru had a unique twisting in his moves, Neji seemed like a worshiped ancient beast going for a sacrifice, Shino moved liked a beast searching for new prey in his woods, Tenten had a slithering motion in her steps, Kankuro had a distinctive bull-like motion in his moves, and Temeri flowed through the field like a desert bird going for a carcass. A lightbulb seemed to turn on over Kayla's head and she called the others over. "Guys. To be an effective team, we need a team name. Now I've studied your movements very closely, and I can tell you this: I've seen it only once in my days as a player. Your movements are like those of my old team, the Legends, and their movements are like those of horror movie monsters. I know if we try hard and believe in ourselves, we'll be great stars like them." "Wait," Naruto said. "Monsters. Stars. I have the perfect team name!"

"Well don't leave us hanging," Sakura nearly yelled. Naruto said, "How about: The Monstars! Sounds pretty unique if you ask me." Everyone agreed it sounded as best to describe them. Kayla gave a large smile, "Monstars it is then." Everyone gave loud cheer.

The world had best watch out, because The Monstars are about to bring the hammer down on the soccer world.
