Author's Note: So I was watching Tonsil Trouble again, and decided to write this little oneshot about it…Review this one, please? This is my second oneshot, everyone hated my first one so I hope this is better.

Tonsil Trouble: Read Between the Lines

"I won't treat you any different, Eric."

That's what Butters had said, he remembered. And then, he had kissed him. The little fool…why had he kissed him, there, in front of everyone? He could have given away their secret! Cartman remembered the relief that washed over him when everyone acted as if nothing had happened. He could have strangled Butters! Of course, he would regret it later…but Cartman never really bothered to think about his actions until after the fact.

He heard a knock on the door. "Come in." He knew who it would be. Butters opened the door slightly and edged in before shutting it again. He looked nervous. Cartman chuckled to himself. Sweet, sensitive, Butters. Always expecting the worst to happen, always expecting to suffer at Cartman's hands. Cartman didn't treat him well, and he knew it. He felt a bit guilty about it, but he still immensely enjoyed it.

"You…you wanted to see me, Eric?"

"Yes, Butters."

Butters stood, wringing his hands together. "Sit down." Cartman gestured towards his bed. "Gee…that's awful nice of you, Eric." Butters sat down, still wringing his hands. He looked up, waiting for the explosion. He knew he shouldn't have done it…he knew Eric would be mad. But he wanted to badly for him to know that nothing would change…he would still love him…

"Why, Butters? Why? You know the strict guidelines on our relationship. You know that you're never to break the rules. Why did you?"

"I…well, gee, Eric, it seemed like the right thing to do!" Butters look on the edge of a nervous breakdown. Cartman looked at him, and smiled. Nothing made him happier than seeing those not worthy of him squirm in his presence, as Butters was doing now.

"Butters, Butters, Butters. You know as well as I do there was a reason for your actions. Now tell me." Cartman stood in front of him and glared. He was doing his best to look intimidating, and he succeeded beyond his wildest dreams.

"Eric…I…just wanted you to know nothing would change! AIDS doesn't make a difference to me, nothing will change between us!" Ah. Cartman had been expecting something along those

lines. Still, hearing Butters say it in his innocent little voice was much better than just thinking it. He smiled in spite of himself. Butters was so irresistible, sometimes.

"Eric..? I'm sorry…" Cartman looked up in surprise, he had almost forgotten that Butters was there. He walked over to him slowly and menacingly. He could almost see the sweat forming on Butters' forehead as he approached. Good. The more scared he was, the better. He leaned in close to Butters, glaring at him until he looked away, and then kissed him forcefully.

Butters was surprised. He had expected his secret relationship with Eric to be over…but he was glad that it wasn't. He held Eric closer to him until he broke off the kiss.

"Be more careful in the future, Butters. Now, come on! You need to help me teach Kyle a lesson."

Author's Note: So, how was it? I know it was pretty short but you pretty much know what happens before and after…so review and let me know what you think!
