AN:: I'm working on an AC fanfiction, and writing small things like this helps get the creativity flowing. First up is Shaun :)

2:00 a.m. formed on the computer clock. The only source of light in the room came from the monitor, illuminating the hunched figure at the desk. An aggravated sigh slipped past Shaun's lips as he closed shop for the night. There was not enough time to do everything he needed, not enough time between the field teams dying, and to him there certainly wasn't enough time to gather the data from Ezio's memories before the templars found them.

As much as Shaun hated time, he hated clocks even more. Every hour that passed was noticed, as if the clock was telling them they would fail. It's seconds ticked loudly, making sure you couldn't ignore it. When everyone else retired for the day Shaun could not. "You've only worked sixteen hours today." The clock would laugh. So he stayed until his body and mind demanded rest from him, telling him twenty hours was enough work for one day. Each day they would beg for more than four hours of sleep, but each day the clock's taunts won the battle against his own needs.
