A.N: I disclaim the characters I've used. It's a piece of drabble about Lulu/Rikku that was originally on Live Journal. If you don't like girl/girl then I suggest you don't read this.

Benefits of a Black Mage

"Being a black mage does have its benefits you know!" Rikku criticised Tidus' point of view. The teenagers were yet again debating over which mage of their team was 'better', Lulu their black mage or Yuna their white mage.

"Well I don't think so; I mean as soon as silence is cast on Lulu she can't do anything else. At least Yuna can summon some big ass dragon out of the sky!" the chirpy toned blonde bragged about Yuna in a childish mannerism, which gave the attitude one of a 'mine is better than yours' kind of feel, as if they were too infants bickering over toys –because of this attitude often the other guardians did think that they were actually infants of five years old. If only Lulu and Yuna knew how the teens viewed them, boy would there be sparks flying, rather literally too.

"Well duh! Yunie is our summoner. Being able to summon has nothing to do with being a white mage, so you can't class that as one of her white magic powers," bouncing on her heels the thief hit Tidus on the head. Sometimes it really annoyed Rikku just how much he didn't know, even if he had came from the past he should've still known the difference between Yuna's powers. Rikku certainly did. The Al Bhed, for all she was hyperactive she did take quite a lot in, especially when it came to Lulu.

"So…it doesn't matter Lulu still can't do that!" He persisted on however Rikku wasn't listening; she was too wrapped up in her own thoughts.

'Lulu is still way better', echoed her mind. She didn't feel as if it were favouritism after all Yuna was her cousin, her friend and her summoner. If it weren't because of Yuna she wouldn't be here now. Rikku just admired Lulu in a different light.

'To list the benefits of a black mage wouldn't be such a tough one,' a moment or so passed and the Al Bhed could recall Tidus waving a hand in front of her face. Rikku however, later, never admitted to him that she went all googly eyed when she started to think of Lulu.

'All I know is Lulu can do anything to me, anything. Make me relive my fears, make me feel warm inside. Hold me, hate me? Hurt me? Break me? I know she wouldn't, but she could. I'd always admire her, always. She's different, elegant, unlike anyone…ever! Benefits are a black mage, yeah there's many but the benefits of Lulu, there's one I know well. She's got me under her spell.'
