I've been gone for a while... For a quick summery of what happened: my computer broke. If you want to know th ewhole story, look at my profile.
This started out as an assignment for my English class. It was an exercise on developing character. We were allowed to do it on either real or imaginary characters, so my friend persuaded me to do it on an imaginary character who was similar to Colette. I didn't like how it turned out, and it jumped around a lot. I ended up doing it on my friend, but I like the general feel of the first draft that I did...
So, to clear up some questions; yes, this is Colette; and no, this is not me(although it could be me...or Kyri), you will find out who it is later. I think that this could almost be from the views of a couple of different people, but it's up to you to decide what you think.
Trust
Someone's POV
I watch her as she walks though the streets. She looks carefree, she's smiling brightly, and her hair flutters in the slight breeze.
She stops to converse with someone, still smiling. When they are done talking he walks away looking happier than before. She moves on.
A dog barks, catching her attention. She quickly walks over to it and trips on raised stone. I want to rush over to help, but I'm too far away. Her arms wave wildly as she tries to regain her balance. Brilliantly colored rainbow wings appear on her back and flutter rapidly, saving her from falling completely, although she still lands on her knees.
I smile at her clumsiness, she has always been a klutz, but I'm glad she's all right. I always worry about her, she doesn't ever tell us anything that she thinks will make us worry. She had seemed excited about becoming an angel, but I'm starting to notice her hesitation.
Her fall doesn't bother her at all. She gets up, brushes herself off, pushes back her blond hair, and continues to her destination.
When she reaches the dog she smiles and starts to pet it. "Your so fluffy!" she chirps. "And your tail is so cute!" After some thought she decides on a name. "I'm going to call you Pepe!"
I remember a conversation we had after we had fought off an unusual monster. The Professor had wondered what the monster was called, and Colette had suggested calling it Poochie.
She pets the dog one last time before moving on. Her eyes search the open streets. Her eyes light up when they see me.
She calls my name to get my attention and comes over. "Why aren't you doing anything?" she asks. "We're not going to have much free time, so you should relax. You need to take care of yourself," she instructs while smiling.
"You need to too. You never tell us if you're worried about something."
"I'm sorry," she says, looking down.
"Don't say sorry," I tell her for what seems like the tenth time today.
"Oh . . . I'm sorry." She smiles again. "But I'm fine. You don't need to worry about me."
She always says things like this. She feels like it's her duty to always be cheerful and spread hope. Maybe it's because of her appearance: blond hair, blue eyes, and white clothing. Or maybe it's because she's always so detemined. Because it really is true, people are always more hopeful around her.
But sometimes I wish that she would trust me a little more.
This is supposed to be Lloyd . . . But it could be anyone else. It could probably even be Kyri. I would like to know if anyone likes this. Ugh. I know I made some mistakes in that. So, sorry about any mistakes that are there.
I think I'm going to write another one of these. Maybe. I'll see what people think.
Hmmm... I'm thinking about doing a Colos/Zelette oneshot soon. Sorry, I'm rambling. Please reveiw!
