Katherine POV
I am sitting in my chambers, waiting for the king to make a decision concerning my execution. Will I be executed, or will I not? All this started when I met Thomas Culpepper. I, dear Katherine Howard, committed adultery against the king. I weep piteously, praying that I will not be executed, though that is very unlikely.
Though perhaps Henry will keep me if I am with child. I am, really truly, and I have been for two weeks. Being with child is what got my dear cousin Anne married to the king. Who says it shall not save me too? If it is a boy, it surely will. I hope with all my might for a boy.
Henry POV
I am walking down the hall, coming from the chapel. As I draw nearer to my apartments I hear screaming. "Henry! Henry, please! It's me, Katherine! It's Katherine, Katherine! I don't want to die!" the foolish wife of mine, Katherine screams. I ignore her and walk to my apartments. I need to think.
A page brings me a note. "It is from Katherine." He whispers. "You may leave now." I tell him.
Dearest Henry,
I am with child. I have been for two weeks. If you execute me, it will surely die!
Your loving wife,
Katherine
She is with child! Though the question still remains: Is it mine or Culpepper's? I truly hope it is mine, and that I get a son.
Katherine POV
