Life Goes On:
Yuuki's Journal:
December 20th:
Dear Diary,
This is my first entry!
The chairman, otou-san, has given the both of us diaries as early christmas presents as he says it's extremely important for us to practice writing more often.
Right now, he is bickering at me and Zero because we refused to taste his hideous concoction, which he calls gooseberry pie with sweetened pickles.
I decided to taste some out of my pity for him, because he looks on the verge of tears. (Though I am secretly glad I swallowed it quickly enough, so I couldn't register the taste.)
Now, handing me an elegant crimson coloured book for Kaname-senpai, (which I pocketed immediately) the chairman is pushing the both of us out the door for our guardian duties.
I could tell Zero was annoyed from the way he is rolling his eyes.
Anyways, diary, I can't keep writing or I'll be late. Sorry.
December 20th (Still):
What a surprise I came back to! After giving Kaname-sempai his diary and going back on duty, Zero told me to patrol by myself for a while, and rushed back in to the house to get something. He was taking an awful long time, so I went in to check on him and guess what I found?! He was elbow deep in pan grease and flour (excuse my exagerration) and was baking a cake! (Or more than one from the looks of it.) I asked him what he was doing and he signaled me to be quiet. He said he was baking a cake for the chairman! I must have looked shock, since I didn't know he had such a kind side to him, when he said it was actually payback for the chairman's horrendous pie!
I decided to help him bake, but he disagreed. He said I could take out the ingredients and put the cake in the oven, but nothing else. While he was saying this, I noticed the flour on his face and started giggling uncontrollably. Giving me a glare, he asked me what was wrong and when I told him, he flung a handful of flour at me! We had so much fun, that we didn't notice the chairman coming down and taking pictures of us, (at least until Zero threw an egg at him.) The chairman was oblivious to the glare Zero was giving him and had even said it was the first time he had seen Zero smile genuinely!
Kaname's Journal:
20th of December,
I never thought I'd be needing this journal particularly, but since it is a gift from the chairman, I shall make good use of it. Right now, Aidou is watching me from the corner of his eyes. I should watch out for him, since he might be up to mischief again. I should also stay on guard for Kiryuu-kun, to make sure he knows where his place is on my chessboard. He is only a pawn used to protect Yuuki, and nothing more.
Tomorrow, I would be attending another meeting with the council of elders again, to discuss what they call
"important issues" regarding the safety of the vampire society. What they don't know is that these meetings are giving me frequent migraines, making it harder for me to control my powers. (Aidou's collection must be growing quite large by now.)
Zero's Journal:
Dec. 20:
Still can't sleep.
My body seems to be rejecting the blood tablets again.
Sometimes I wonder how those filthy bloodsuckers are able to swallow this stuff.
Trust me, these things taste nothing like blood.
This morning, I must have been out of my mind to bake a cake for the chairman.
Could it be that I have finally gone insane?Maybe I was only trying to distract myself, I mean, who knows what my body is capable of doing without conscious thoughts controlling it? What if I kill innocent people, like Yuuki, and drain them dry?
But the only thing I know I won't regret doing, is killing and draining the beasts of the night class, especially that bastard Kuran.
