Running, running as fast as I can away from this place. The forest is thick around me, trying to swallow me whole. The groups of warriors are right on my trail, trying to catch me like a game of cat and mouse. I'm almost out, almost free. I see the light and rush ahead at full speed. But I'm one step behind. I trip and turn as I see the warriors surround me. One that looks different from the rest walks towards me, with a gun. I can't move, not even if I tried. He lifts his gun, aims it right at my head, and shoots. "AAAAHHHH" I scream as I fall out of the bed. "Summer, what are you doing back there," my aunt yells from the back room. "Nothing, just fell out of the bed," I reply. "Well then stop being an idiot. Oh and since you're up, you can get up and go to work." So I get up and get dressed, waiting for the boring day ahead of me. A few minutes later I'm out on the street walking to the store. I have to work there to pay the rent my aunt gives me, even though I'm only 15. The reason I live with her is because my father died in a car accident before I was born, and my mother just got up, threw me here, and left. I never even got the chance to see her. But anyways, the town here is extremely isolated, and what I mean is there are brick walls surrounding the area, and there is nothing green here. I mean no trees, no grass, no plants, nothing. As I'm about to walk in to the store, Jay (my 11 year old guy friend) comes up to me, "Hey Summer, what's up?) "Oh nothing much, just the usual," I say. "Oh well I have exciting news!" Jay says excitedly. "Well then let's hear it." "Ok so I was just walking around the town and I saw this new girl and I think I saw her brother to." Wow I never thought someone new would come to this place, but that's peculiar that they would come at this time of year. "Well do you know where they are now?" I ask him. "I think there downtown, what you want to go check them out?" "Yeah let's do it." I don't really feel like working anyway. So I close the store door, and Jay and I start to head towards downtown.
