Day twenty of Month of Pink, we're almost done.

With a yawn, Anita made her way into the kitchen to get breakfast. Knowing how the other residents of the household were, she'd have to make her own breakfast. Upon opening the fridge, though, there was barely anything that she could use. There wasn't even her usual bottle of milk that she liked to drink. With an angry frown, she closed the fridge door and made her way to find the one who was supposed to keep the food stocked.
"Michelle!" exclaimed Anita upon finding her older sister.
The blonde jumped a bit before turning to the little pink-haired paper master and finding her unhappy. "Is something wrong, Anita dear?"
"Michelle, weren't you supposed to go and but some groceries?" questioned Anita as she gave Michelle a narrowed look. Seeing her sister start to fidget, Anita knew immediately what had happened. "You bought more books instead, didn't you?"
"Anita, please let me explain…"
"Michelle! I can't believe you spent our money on books again when food is more important!" yelled Anita as she glared at her sister.
"I know, but the next volume of one of my favorite series came out today and I just had to get it!"
"That doesn't explain how we still have no food," stated Anita through clenched teeth. She really hated it when her sisters did this.
Michelle let out a nervous laugh. "Well…when I got to the book store, I found so many other books that looked interesting that I just couldn't help myself."
Anita could feel her brow twitch in both anger and annoyance. Once again her sister put books before food and because of that, Anita was going to have to skip breakfast. She couldn't even have her daily bottle of milk!
"I'm heading out," growled out Anita as she grabbed her jacket and heading towards the door.
"Wh-Where are you going?" asked Michelle with a hint of worry.
"Out!" yelled Anita before slamming the door shut. If she was lucky, she could have breakfast over at Hisami's.
Once she had breakfast and her milk, Anita figured she'd apologize to her sister when she gets home. Maybe letting her stew in guilt for a while will teach Michelle to put her responsibilities before books.

I really need to find the manga and DVDs for Read or Die. It became one of my favorite series after watching it years ago on TechTV's Animé Unleashed block.
