AN: A short piece, inspired by a recent review. Mwah!

Couldn't be better

Just as Ross was about to take his vows he felt an insect bite on the back of his neck. He slapped at the bite, and suppressed what he was going to say. Now where was he? He was looking into Emily's eyes, which expressed a mixture of happiness, concern and nervousness.

'I, Ross, take you Emily...'

to:

'Now you may kiss the bride.' The bride, eyes shining tilted her face up to his and they shared a kiss. They'd made it. He looked at her afterwards and made to kiss her again until Chandler murmured,

'It's only one now, wait till later.' That was right. But damn everyone, it was his wedding, so he kissed her again, making her turn a funny shade of pink.

Signing the registry, taking the first waltz, and then the wedding dinner was all a blur. It was one face after another with congratulations. There was one face he was glad to see, and that was Rachel's. She still looked tired from her trip over, but hopefully she would start to have some fun. Joey was definitely having fun, he thought, as he watched Joey with his bridesmaid. He hoped Monica would be okay. Good for Chandler. He liked to see his friend cheer up his sister.

'Have you noticed they had a lot of dances together?' Emily asked.

'Yeah. Chandler's really cheering Monica up.' Emily gave him a sideways look. Chandler and Monica had danced every single dance.

'Yes, Ross. I'll make sure she has a slice of wedding cake.'

'She's already had one hasn't she?'

'A special one,' Emily smiled. 'Rachel too. It's a pity about that Joshua fellow. Do you think we can get a slice for Phoebe? She's missed out on so much. Maybe we should have delayed the wedding so that - '

'No,' Ross said, firmly. 'It's perfect the way it is.'
