The Life of a Ramsa

Chapter One: Crash Landing

All you can see is a bright light, and feel an intense heat. One day the rock we've all been living on was cold and dark, and the next it was burning up, falling towards a planet. The planet has green clouds, orange water, and blue land. If the rock missing the water, it would be all over, the entire trip would end in nothingness, with only the cold feeling of death that only a single cell organism can feel. After a few more seconds, impact into the water, cold suddenly washing over us and the bright light is gone, blinding us for a few moments.

When I could see again I was all alone at the bottom of a lake. All of my friends suddenly gone and other, strange cells around I had to eat something. After a few moments I found some plant cells and began to munch down on them. After eating my fill I decided to explore my surroundings. I found a friendly looking cell and swam up to it. "Hello…" I said cautiously. The cell looked at me and replied, "Well, you're new here apparently. Did you come down on that big rock that fell through the water?" The cell swam toward me a little, engaged in the conversation. "Yeah, I did. My name's Frota, I'm a Ramsa. What about you?" "My name's Satmo and I'm a Drasa. I could tell you know, not very many cells start conversations with random cells." Satmo swam up in front of me and gave a big yawn. "Hey, I know a place where you can rest for now. Are there any more of you?" Satmo looked around expectedly, as if others were hiding from him. "No, I think the others fell farther out from me." I said. "Alright we'll start looking for them tomorrow, but now we need to rest." Satmo turned around and swam off.
