A/N:: sighs : Writing this was just plain weird for me, but I think it turned out all right. IT IS SLASH BETWEEN AN OLD GUY AND A GREASY GUY! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED! You see, I was bored and I turned to my friend and said, "Give me a pairing." Snape/Dumbledore. "Give me a word." Turtles. This is what came out.

Disclaimer: I own nothing. I might own turtle heaven though... : ponders :

"Come in," Albus called after a knock on the door. Severus Snape entered his office, obviously distressed about something. He quickly sat in the chair reserved for visitors and stared at his shoes.

"I'm sorry, sir. I've done something terrible."

Albus sighed, stood up, and sat on the desk in front of Severus. "what have you done that's so terrible, Severus?"

Flinching at how calm Albus sounded, Severus replied, "I…I've promised to kill you, sir."

"Explain."

After taking a deep breath, Severus explained about how he had taken the Unbreakable Vow.

Albus stared at him for a moment after he finished, then laughed. As Severus stared at him, bewildered, he stood up, grabbed a nearby bowl, and offered it to Severs.

"Lemon drop?"

"No thank you, sir."

"Don't you see, Severus? This is excellent! It will provide Harry with the drive to defeat Voldemort and I will finally be able to rest." He looked reverently up at the ceiling.

Severus stood up abruptly and Albus could see there were tears in his eyes. "I'm sorry, sir. I can't do it."

Albus looked at him doubtfully. "Sit down, Severus." He obeyed, covering his face with his hands. Albus walked around the desk and sat back in his chair.

"Do you know how long turtles live, Severus?"

"Turtles, sir?" Severus asked, lowering his hands and looking puzzled.

"Turtles, Severus. And stop calling me 'sir.'"

"Well, I suppose it depends on the type of turtle, s—Albus."

"Sea turtles, then."

Severus thought for a moment. "I believe they can live to be 200 years old. But what does this have to do with anything?"

"Hear me out, Severus." Albus stood up and began pacing. "I am like an old turtle. I've lived over a hundred years and I'm ready for turtle heaven. I've lived my life."

Severus was standing and tears were running down his cheeks. "I can't do it, Albus. I can't kill you."

"Why not? You've killed others before. Why am I different?"

Looking down, Severus sobbed and replied, "Because I love you."

Albus sighed. "I love you too, Severus, but…"-

"No!" Severus yelled, startling Albus. "I'm in love with you!"

Albus stared at Severus for a moment, then took two strides forward and brought his lips to meet Severus' in a passionate kiss.

After a moment, they broke apart and Albus whispered, "I'm in love with you too, but you know you must do this."

Severus nodded, tears still streaming down his face. Then he grinned and said, "Turtle heaven, huh?"

Albus chuckled. "Not one of my better analogies, I must admit." Then they sat down by the fire to talk some more.

A/N: Well, I hope you at least enjoyed it a little bit. Review please!
