" Mommmmy." Jaevanny ran to her mother completely happy see her return from the hunt for water. Ellie smiled and picked her daughter up.
" Hey. What have you been doing?" Ellie asked trying to wipe away some of the mud on Jaevanny's face. " Did you have fun?" She asked.
" Fun." The little girl repeated with a big smile are her face. It was her way of saying yes. A word she had yet to grasp the concept of. Of course she knew what no meant. " Pappy." She yelled her arms reaching out to Pride. Pride smiled and took the girl.
" Looks like Hawk was the one watching her today." He looked at Ellie sweetly, and she returned the favor. It was obvious to anyone that they were interested with each other, but of course Jaevanny. Ellie vowed to keep any thing related to a love life away from her daughter. They're disturbingly almost romantic glares were interrupted by coughing in the background.
" Hey." Ellie said walking over to her on and off again boyfriend. It was the end of their fifth fallout, but in Jack's mind she was still his. She gave him a friendly hug and then got her daughter from Pride right before walking off leaving the two alone. Jack gave Pride a peeved look and then walked off in the same direction of Ellie. Pride rolled his eyes and went to his tent.
" Why don't we leave here? Do our own thing?" Jack asked walking in on Ellie and Jaevanny playing.
" This is about Pride isn't it?" She looked at him as if all of his thoughts were written on his face.
" No. It's about Jaevanny." He lied as the little girl looked up at him with a smile. " She needs stability. She's not going to get that here."
" I find this to be the best place for her to find stability." She said to him standing up to match his height. He was about to say something, but she first beat him to it. " Jaevanny is my daughter, Jack. I worry about her. I know what's best for her. Jaevanny and I aren't going anywhere." After feeling like she made herself clear she picked up Jaevanny once again leaving Jack behind.
