It all happened so quickly. One minute Beth was right in front of Dawn and the next she's laying on the floor. Behind Beth stood the group, Daryl, Rick, Carol, Tyreese and Sasha. Dawn's eyes widened in fear of realization. Without hesitation Daryl raised his gun and pointed it at Dawn. Tears pooling in his eyes because he had just watched the younger girl get shot. He shot Dawn right in the skull, her blood splattering back at her group just how Beth's shot back at theirs. The others raised their weapons. The others were talking but Daryl had blocked them out. Daryl lowered his gun and quietly started whimpering and crying. They tried to pull him back but he walked over to where Beth lie motionless on the tiled floor. He sunk to his knees and picked up the blonde, holding her body to himself. He lowered his head and cried into the young woman's shoulder. Thoughts raced through his head 'how could I have let this happen? Why didn't I stop her? Why didn't I hug her and not let go? Now she's gone and it's all my fault.' He thought. He kissed the top of her head, being careful of the wound. They finally got Daryl to calm down enough I leave but he still wouldn't let go of Beth. He carried her out of the building and saw Maggie. She screamed and started sobbing. Daryl held onto the younger woman tighter and started whimpering again. Not wanting to cry in front of the others. Beth's voice rung in his mind. "You're gonna miss me so bad when I'm gone, Daryl Dixon" he looked down at her now cold, lifeless body.

"I miss you, Beth Greene" he whispered as a tear from his cheek landed on hers.
