Sorry if this story is bad. I'm a new writer and I still have a lot to learn. Reviews are appreciated, so thanks in advance. I do not own the Teen Titans or any of the characters in the Teen Titan universe.

When Beastboy arrived at the battle scene, he found his team, the Teen Titans licking their wounds. Robin was dealing with the police, Cyborg and Starfire were a few paces away eavesdropping, and Raven was sitting on a crate at the corner of the room.

Beastboy noticed her rubbing her arm and focused his hearing on the girl. She was repeating "azarath metrion zinthos, azarath metrion zinthos".Beastboy, without realizing walked over to Raven and grabbed her gently by the arm.

"Raven, what's wrong? Are you okay? His voice cracked in that way it does when he talks to Raven.

Raven scrunched her face into a glare and pulled her arm from Beastboy's hands. "It's nothing. It's just sore."

"Oh", Beastboy sighed and shuffled his feet. The silence made him uncomfortable and he felt relieved when she broke it.

"How did things go with Terra?" Beastboy felt tears swell in his eyes and he looked at the floor to hide them.

"Things change Raven," he stated, letting the hurt flow into his voice more than he had intended.

Wiping his eyes and looking up he noticed Ravens facial feature soften. Her lips parted slightly as if she were surprised, but her eyebrows furled in a way that seemed sad to him.

"What?" She almost croaked.

"She said she's not the same girl anymore Raven, she said she was just a memory. I lost one of my best friends today."

Beastboy felt Ravens two arms wrap around his neck and her head fall to rest on his shoulder. She was hugging him again, but this time he didn't break away as soon as it began, he was too sad, and she was too comforting.

"I'm sorry Beastboy," she whispered, and he felt her warm breath cling to his chest, causing him to sink deeper into the hug. He wrapped his hands across her back, she was lean and muscular, and she felt firm under his fingertips, safe.

"I feel so abandoned Rae" Beastboy pulled Raven in tighter and the tears he had so carefully hidden away spilled down his face. He felt Raven's head roll in his shoulder, her nose now gently pushed against his neck, and it felt small and delicate. The intimacy of the act sent a cold chill down his spine and through his body.

Beastboy swallowed hard. He was now hyper-aware of her nose and all of his attention followed the trail she paved up against the vain of his neck to the tears upon his face. He felt her lips brush his cheek for the briefest of moments, and they were so warm, and they caused his face to flush, and he heard the sound of her lips smacking together. The sound was so soft he almost didn't notice, and the moisture from her lips and his tears clung to his face like a weight.

Raven pulled away from him slowly and looked up at him. "You'll always have us Beastboy, You're not alone." Then she teleported across the corridor to join the other Titans and Beastboy was left standing there looking dumbstruck. He wasn't sure of what had just occurred or what it meant for him and Raven. But he was sure of one thing. Raven didn't seem so creepy anymore.
