He would have given anything to have her back in his arms. And if he had not been made to bury her he would have happily lay on that sand covered ground with her body in his arms for eternity. Nothing seemed to motivate him anymore. Yes he would go and help the villagers, make sure none of them starved. But no longer because he thought it was the right thing to do, but for a promise he made along time ago. And he would not dare defy an angel.

She was gone. His love, his wife. She was in heaven with her parents aswell as Robin's. But that was a place he was not yet allowed to go. He had a duty to do and a promise to fufill. He would not be free to join her until then. Which was another reason he worked so much harder.

Even to this day. When he knew he was walking into a trap or thinking out a stupid plan, he could hear Marian's words in his head. She was telling him to grow up. Like she always did, and for once he wished she could be here to say those words again. He was her voice of reason, even from the other side. Her ghostly words calmed and controlled him in his times of anger where even Much could do nothing to stop him. She was his serenity.

Once his promise was fufilled he would be taken to her. He would feel her arms once more and hear her patronizing but welcoming words. Their lips would once again be one. As their seperated hearts were reunited in heaven. And there they would always be together in peace and harmony.
