The witch didn't even flinch at the sound of her name being screeched in utter fury. She just gazed up from where she sat, waiting for him to enter the room.
He stomped in, face bright red and arms waving around wildly.
"YOU KNEW!!! I JUST KNOW YOU KNEW! YOU ALWAYS KNOW!" He shouted.
She was unfazed by his accusation. And though she knew exactly what he was talking about, she played innocent.
"Why, what on earth could you be talking about?" She asked sweetly.
"YOU KNOW VERY WELL WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!" He shouted.
She gave a long exagerated sigh and took a swig from the bottle at her side.
"Now, now. It's rude to accuse someone of something when you have no proof."
He stomped his foot on the ground, reminding her of a child having a temper tantrum. It almost made her smile. But instead, she raised her eyebrows and gave a little shrug.
"Would you like to tell me what happened, Watanuki?"
"NO! I WOULD NOT!" He snarled, stamping his foot again and clenching his fists at his side.
"I promiss I don't know." She said, tilting her head to the side.
Watanuki relaxed a bit. "You don't?"
"I don't know EVERYTHING." She replied, taking another long drink.
He decided to believe her, and relaxed completly.
"I'll get to work." He muttered, grabbing his apron and pulling it on.
After that, he set to work and completly forgot his accusations. He cooked dinner and brought it out to Yuko.
"Did you enjoy it?" She asked innocently, out of the blue.
"I don't mind it anymore..." He froze, realizing she wasn't talking about his cooking the meals for her.
Yuko looked up and gave him a devious smirk.
"You should get to work. Or else you'll be here all night. And you wouldn't have any time to spend with Doumeki."
"All night! All night!" Maru and Moro chanted, dancing around Watanuki.
Watanuki was too shocked to say anything for a moment. Then he turned bright red again once again.
"YUKO-SAN!!!"
She laughed in delight.
"WHY DO YOU SAY YOU DON'T KNOW WHEN YOU DO?!"
"You honestly don't know?" She asked, smiling deviously.
"I CAN'T READ MINDS!"
"Because..." She said, standing and moving closer.
"You are..."
Her voice got lower as she leaned in close. Watanuki swallowed nervously as he felt her breath on his ear.
"My favorite toy."
She pulled away and laughed loudly, skipping back to her seat to finish her dinner.
And Watanuki could only sputter incoherently.
